We’ll move through three complementary practices: Yin + Meditation, Myofascial Release and Restorative Yoga + Nervous System Support. Each practice will be explored twice, giving you time to become familiar with the techniques, notice how your body responds, and return to them with a little more understanding the second time around.
While each practice offers something different, they share a common thread: slowing down enough to pay attention. Throughout the series, you’ll explore ways to work with tension, support mobility and recovery, understand your nervous system, and develop greater awareness of both body and mind.
The intention is to give you practical tools you can continue using well beyond these six weeks.
Week 1: Yin + Meditation | October 11
Week 2: Myofascial Release | October 18
Week 3: Restorative + Nervous System | October 25
Week 4: Yin + Meditation | November 1
Week 5: Myofascial Release | November 8
Week 6: Restorative + Nervous System | November 15

Yin + Meditation combines the quiet, longer-held postures of yin yoga with guided mindfulness meditation. Yin practices primarily target the connective tissues around the joints and encourage you to explore sensation with less effort and more awareness.
During each session, we’ll move through a series of supported yin postures held for several minutes at a time, using props and modifications to make the practice appropriate for your body. The slower pace creates an opportunity to notice sensation, breath, and the natural tendency to react or resist when we become still.
We’ll then transition into guided meditation, using practices such as breath awareness, body awareness, and mindful observation. Rather than trying to quiet the mind, you’ll learn how to notice what is present with greater curiosity and less judgment.
Together, yin and meditation offer a practice for both body and mind, helping cultivate mobility, stillness, self-awareness, and a greater capacity to be present with your experience.
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a self-care practice that uses therapy balls and other props to explore areas of tension, improve mobility, and develop a greater awareness of how your body moves and feels.
During these sessions, we’ll use gentle, sustained pressure along with movement and breath to work with different areas of the body. You’ll learn techniques that can be adjusted to your own comfort level and easily incorporated into your regular movement or yoga practice.
MFR can be especially helpful for areas that tend to feel tight or overworked, such as the neck and shoulders, back, hips, and feet. We’ll also explore how one area of the body may influence movement and sensation elsewhere.
Rather than simply rolling over tight spots, the emphasis is on slowing down, noticing your body's response, and learning practical techniques you can continue using on your own between sessions.

Restorative yoga is a deeply restful practice that uses supportive props to allow the body to settle into comfortable postures with very little muscular effort. Instead of stretching or working toward a particular shape, the emphasis is on creating the conditions for rest and recovery.
During these sessions, we’ll use bolsters, blankets, blocks, and other props to support the body in longer-held positions. Breath awareness, gentle movement, and guided relaxation may also be incorporated to help you notice patterns of tension and explore ways to shift toward a more settled state.
Along the way, you’ll learn more about the nervous system and how everyday stress can influence the way we breathe, move, rest, and respond. We’ll explore simple practices that can support regulation and help you recognize what your own nervous system may need in different moments.
The goal is not simply to feel relaxed during class, but to leave with practical tools you can return to when you need more rest, grounding, or recovery in everyday life.
Do I need yoga experience?
Not at all. The series is appropriate for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Options and modifications will be offered throughout.
What equipment or props will I need?
A yoga mat, two blocks, a blanket, and a bolster or firm pillows will be helpful. Myofascial release sessions will also use therapy balls. A complete prop list will be provided before the series begins.
Is this appropriate if I have an injury or chronic pain?
This series is designed to be adaptable, but it isn't a substitute for medical care or physical therapy. If you're currently managing an injury or medical condition, check with your healthcare provider if you're unsure whether these practices are appropriate for you.
How long will I have access to the recordings?
Recordings will be available throughout the six-week series and for two weeks after the final session, giving you time to catch up or revisit any of the practices.
Will this be offered online?
Yes, in fact it will be exclusively online. You can live-stream from the comfort of your own home. Perfect to prepare for bedtime.
